About Me

So a little about me…

Hi, my name is Laura, and I am a Grade A (the highest grade obtainable) DSA approved instructor. My driving school offers comprehensive training in all aspects of driving. I am a strong believer that pupils should be taught how to drive safely for life and not just to pass a test. In line with this, I offer full theory tuition, defensive driving lessons, motorway and city driving, Pass Plus courses and refresher lessons.

So a little about me…I come from a teaching background after having trained for a PGCE in Primary Education. Because of my teaching experience, I am a very patient, friendly and thorough instructor, who can adapt lessons to any level of ability, experience and confidence. Alongside teaching, my other passion in life is driving, and so being a driving instructor allows me to combine the two perfectly.

Over my time as an instructor, I have achieved consistently high pass rates in both theory and practical tests, and I am committed to ensuring that my pupils feel completely prepared for both. This is reflected in the fantastically low number of faults pupils have scored on their practical tests – some achieving a perfect score of 0!

I pride myself in offering lessons that are client centred. This means that lessons are built around a pupil's needs and learning styles. Pupils move at a pace that suits their current strengths and weaknesses and are encouraged to share responsibly and reflect upon their ongoing progress. We will use a variety of visual aids, audio, demonstrations and notes both in and outside of lessons to encourage pupils to understand, reflect and progress.
